Do's:

  1. Remove all racks and items from oven before cleaning.
  2. Clean spills and debris regularly to prevent hardening.
  3. Use baking soda and vinegar or a commercial oven cleaner for tough stains.
  4. Wear gloves and protective eye gear when using harsh chemicals.

Don'ts:

  1. Don't use abrasive materials such as steel wool or scouring pads.
  2. Don't leave oven cleaner on surfaces for longer than directed.
  3. Don't use oven cleaner on self-cleaning ovens, unless specifically stated.
  4. Don't clean oven while it's still hot.
